Rain has a way of exposing the limits of a parent’s imagination. By midmorning on a gray Saturday, you’ve already played the board games, watched enough cartoons, and heard “I’m bored” more times than anyone should. Atlanta has no shortage of indoor playgrounds and trampoline parks, but over the years, our family has developed a different rainy-day tradition. We head to the High Museum of Art.

We don’t start with the paintings.
