This is a joint newsletter from Myleik & Daniel—partners, parents, and adventurers.
We’ve always wanted to create something together—a natural wine shop, a bookstore, a travel club. But with two small kids and busy careers, those dreams are still in the distance. So what did we do instead? This.
About a month into dating, we tore through Europe in nine days—Venice, Milan, Lyon, Paris. That trip confirmed our compatibility (though I’ll never understand someone who doesn’t experience jet lag), and we’ve been carrying on ever since.
What to expect from DO. SEE. EAT. DRINK.
Travel recommendations that go beyond the usual, with a personal spin on getting outside the touristy areas. You may not even need to travel; you’ll just have a different way to experience your city.
Must-see public art, museums, and cultural experiences. We also love children’s museums (our kids have become experts), so expect plenty of family-friendly picks.
Where to eat and what to order. Daniel’s vegetarian, I’m not. We’ll share dishes we love and the stories behind the food.
Thoughtful guides to help you decide where to stay and what to do. We travel solo, as a couple and family, so rest assured there’s something for everyone.
We’ll take turns writing — <waves> MYLEIK here writing today. I love Daniel’s writing (he’s a formal writer — writes for magazines and whatnot). He writes fun and candid — in his voice, and I know you’ll enjoy it too.
We’re very excited about this. February 14—get ready for DO. SEE. EAT. DRINK.
Any chance there's a Nashville in the drafts? Planning trip for next month for a little work and then a girl cousin's trip.
Love this idea!
