Every time I visit St. Louis, I leave with a longer list of reasons to come back. What first drew me here was, oddly, a New York (St. Louis native) artist creating a full-scale, site-specific sculpture installation in an abandoned East St. Louis Taco Bell. It’s a city where interesting people have time and space to do cool things. And, what keeps bringing me back are the museums, neighborhood restaurants, public art, and the feeling that this is a city comfortable enough in its own skin that it doesn’t need to constantly convince you of anything. It simply lets you discover it for yourself.
